Today I waited for the rain to fall

But it was so sunny that not even a raindrop appeared

I wanted to see a colorful rainbow after a heavy rain,

Because they say there may be a leprechaun with a sack of gold at the end of the rainbow,

But there wasn’t even a sign of the tiniest raindrop,

I waited and waited,

Until in the end I just knew that it wouldn’t rain.

They say u can keep hoping,

But I say u have to stop dreaming,

You should just appreciate the sunny day rather than hoping for a rainy day,

And perhaps the sunny day’s not that bad after all

Its heat could just dry up the clothes hanging outside,

And who knows if the pocket of sunshine could just make my day.
